At Kangaroo Zoo, we believe that every child deserves the chance to play freely in a space that feels welcoming, safe, and inclusive. That’s why we created Exceptional Saturday, a dedicated hour for our amazing neurodivergent friends.
Held on the first Saturday of every month at both our North Salt Lake and Pleasant Grove locations, Exceptional Saturday offers a carefully curated experience for families who need a little less stimulation and a lot more understanding.
From 9:00am to 10:00am, we:
· Turn off the music
· Eliminate flashing lights
· Minimize background noise and visual distractions
· Reduce crowd levels
We know that sensory sensitivities can make typical play spaces overwhelming.
Exceptional Saturday provides a welcoming environment where neurodivergent children can enjoy the same Kangaroo Zoo experience—but with thoughtful accommodations in place.
And it gets even better: admission is completely FREE for neurodivergent children during this hour, and siblings are welcome to join for just $5 each.
Families are invited to stay and play beyond the sensory hour if their children are comfortable. Our goal is to create a space where kids can be themselves, at their own pace.
Because every child deserves to feel exceptional.
Mark your calendar: the first Saturday of every month is for YOU.
