Why should I have my party at Kangaroo Zoo?
Kangaroo Zoo has been celebrating kids’ special days since 2007! Our staff is trained and detail-oriented. We handle the sign-in of the guests, set up the party room and help serve all the food, and take care of the cleanup! We make it easy for you to relax and make memories. We offer Party Packages to fit all budgets.
When do the parties begin?
Kangaroo Zoo parties start at 10AM, 12PM, 2PM, 4PM and 6PM. Parties are 1.5 hours long in your own private themed party room. Please wait until your assigned time to enter the party room. After the 1.5 hours in the party room, you and your guests can stay and play in the play area as long as you would like during normal business hours. Please call our facility if you would like to add an additional hour to the end of your party room for an additional $75. *Please note this option is based on availability, so it is very important that you speak with our team manager to confirm the availability.
CAN OUR GUEST COME PLAY PRIOR TO OUR PARTY, OR CAN WE GO INTO OUR PARTY ROOM PRIOR TO MY PARTY START TIME?
We do not allow for guests to come play prior to their party (earlier than 20 min) in order for the party host to appropriately check in the guests and maintain order. In addition, we do not allow for party mom or dads to enter the party room until your scheduled time so we can clean, sanitize and prepare the room for everyone. We recommend choosing an earlier party time if you would like to play earlier in the day, or to reserve the room for an additional hour for $75 if you would like to extend your party (call prior to make sure additional time is available).
How do I book a party?
Please book your party directly online at your desired location. Our online system is very comprehensive, only shows available dates and times to book, and allows you to add on any items that you would like for your party. A deposit ($75) is required in order to complete the reservation (amex, visa, mc or discover). Once reservation is complete, an invoice will be emailed to the email address that you provided and that serves as confirmation of your party. If you don’t receive that email within an a few hours of placing your order, please call the location you booked a party at. We will also call the day before the party. If you do not want to book online, you are more than welcome to call us or come in person and book your party.
I reserved a party online…do I need to further confirm the birthday party with Kangaroo Zoo?
Once your reservation is complete, an invoice will be emailed to the email address that you provided and that serves as confirmation of your party. If you don’t receive that email within an hour of placing your order, please call us during business hours. You do not need to further confirm the party. If you would like to add on additional foods or services, you can call us. Please make sure to add these additional items at least 2 days prior to your party so that we can make sure to be accommodate your request.
Are my adult guests required to wear socks?
Yes, socks are required for everyone beyond the admissions counter. Socks are available to purchase at the admissions counter.
Where do I get Kangaroo Zoo invitations and Waivers?
You can fill out an online waiver prior to your party (which will remain valid for 1 year), but to keep an accurate count for this day’s party, we will ask each adult to fill out a paper day waiver with the kid’s name and age. These waivers will be located with the party host or at the front desk when you arrive.
Do I count the birthday child and siblings as guests?
Yes. All children over the age of 2 years that will attend the party will be considered as a party guest.
What if more kids/ guests show up than I booked?
Your party host will keep track of the number of children signed in for your party and add the per-child fee based on the party package you booked. The host will make sure all children get drinks and place settings and goody items according to the party package booked.
What if all of my guests don’t show up?
Not a problem, we can make adjustments all the way down to the minimum guest requirements without any additional costs to you.
Do I have to pay for children that won’t be playing at the Zoo?
Anyone playing on the inflatables, arcades, or playground needs to sign a waiver and be paid for.
Can I take leftover food home?
Yes! Absolutely! We will box it up for you.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, if you have reserved a party with us, you may bring cake & ice cream (please note that we only have fridges available, so ice cream may melt if left too long). With parties we do allow other outside food for a $20 ‘outside food fee’. We also have a variety of food & snacks available for purchase.
Can I add food on the day of the party?
Yes. Each location has different accommodations so it is best to please give us as much notice as possible for any changes.
Example: While North Salt Lake is able to bake pizza’s there for you, the other locations must order pizza from an outside vendor and may take an hour or more to arrive.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposit is non-refundable. If you provide at least 7 days’ notice you may apply your deposit to any available date or time within the next two months. Any event cancelled with less than 7 days’ notice will forfeit the deposit.
Should I tip my party host?
Gratuity is never expected, but greatly appreciated. If you feel so inclined, you can add gratuity for your party host at checkout. If the host/hostess is awesome show them by giving a tip. All tips earned are given to your party host.
